The Manila Finance Guy blog is something that I’m writing as a hobby. Although I do not have an educational background in finance, I have worked in the financial research industry for three and a half years and most of my knowledge in finance is practical. Whether theory or practice is better, it’s up to you to decide.

The ultimate goal of this blog is to introduce finance—specifically savings and retail investment—to a wide range of people. There are so many opportunities out there that can allow your money to grow as you wait or help you get your financial house in order. I want to be that friend who can give you advice on what’s out there in the finance world and explain what those other finance guys are talking about in the first place.

I’m really excited because I like teaching people, and at the same time, this will also be a learning process for me. I hope you’ll join me in this ride.
